Jason Aldean has been forced to cancel his Friday night tour stop in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the Riverbend Music Center "due to the unprecedented amount of rainfall over the past few days causing the Ohio River to rise above flood stage". The show apparently will not be rescheduled, and refunds for ticketholders will be available at point of purchase.
According to local news, heavy rains over the weekend were indeed the culprit in dashing Aldean's Ohio fans' hopes. Local flooding and the Ohio River level are expected to recede by Thursday, but it'll be just a bit too late for the show.
Florida Georgia Line fans were hit with similar weather-related disappointments when the duo canceled their inaugural FGL Fest, set to be held Sept. 8 in Indianapolis, Ind., due to severe weather.
Also forced to cancel shows is the Zac Brown Band who scrapped shows this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in Virginia and North Carolina due to incoming Hurricane Florence. Refunds will also be provided for these shows.
Florence is currently a Category 4 hurricane and is expected to hit the Carolinas Thursday.
